BoardGame
Labyrinth
This took almost as long as building the computer, but this one involved more work!  First I had to plan out the boardgame design on paper and then somehow construct it from there.  I wasn't going to use wood on this part, because I wouldn't finish till next year, so I used cardboard and with all the dimensions and glue usage, it'd be sturdy.  I designed all the game pecies, walls, floors, etc, on my PC and printed them out to be used and glued later.  Figuring out the dimensions, cutting them, and sometimes revising them was a big pain.  It seemed to drag on forever, because there was a lot to do.  Now you are probably trying to figure out what the boardgame is all about.  You have to move your player that is on the board from start to finish like any other board game.  But, it's not that simple to get there.  The board is kenetic, meaning that it shifts during gameplay.  When you move your player, you land on a number (or sometimes letter).  You press the number or letter that you land on on the keyboard and the computer tells you what happens (The computer also tells you how many spaces you move).  Many different things can happen from switching a lever on the side of the gameboard (the wooden dowels on the right side of the boardgame) to shift the layout of the boardgame, which makes you have to rethink your strategy to get to the finish, to being thrown into the dungeon and have to escape!  You can set traps, find safeties, play pranks on people, run through an obstacle course, fight one on one with an opponent, get blown up, shift the board to cut someone off from advancing, etc, etc, along the way.  Not only this, but there is a marble tower!  Land on the wrong number, and you could be cranking out some marbles that will follow the paths downward on this maze of a game, knocking out players as they go.  They don't care, they're marbles!
